The mission of the American Business Women's Association is to bring together businesswomen of diverse occupations and to provide opportunities for them to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking support, and national recognition.

The Mo-Kan Chapter has served the Kansas City metropolitan area since April 1980, building a community of accomplished businesswomen who lift each other up. Our chapter name reflects our unique position at the heart of the Missouri-Kansas border — a region rich with entrepreneurial spirit and professional talent.

The American Business Women's Association was founded in 1949 and has grown to serve tens of thousands of members across the United States. ABWA provides national resources, scholarships, leadership development programs, and a powerful network that extends far beyond any single chapter.
